Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to serve as a key finance business partner for Global Engineering Services. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and capital planning while guiding a small team and partnering with senior leaders across multiple functions.

The role reports to the Finance Director and requires strong Excel, modeling, and communication skills to drive performance and process improvements in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• 7+ years in FP&A or accounting with progression.
• Experience leading finance professionals.
• Forecasting, variance analysis, budgeting, and reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with SAP, Hyperion, and planning tools.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and partner effectively.
• Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, EHS and Global Security for financial planning and budget oversight.
• Prepare forecasts, assess assumptions, reflect performance, risks and opportunities.
• Manage month-end close, report results, and prepare leadership presentations.
• Analyze results, identify trends, and explain variances to benchmarks.
• Review capital expenditures requests, ensure policy compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial and business processes.
• Produce ad hoc analyses and materials for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies.
• Develop and mentor team members and foster a high-performance culture.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive, results-oriented team environment.
