Job summary

Emerson is seeking an FP&A Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for a multi-divisional operation in Boulder. You will transform data into insights for strategic decisions, partnering with operations, sales, product, and accounting teams.

The role emphasizes building financial models, improving forecast accuracy, and presenting executive-level insights. On-site work in Boulder with up to 10% travel and a 4:1 work policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, financial analysis, or related.
• Strong acumen in budgeting, forecasting, modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Advanced Excel and experience creating impactful financial communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with calendars and target setting.
• Analyze monthly/quarterly performance, highlighting drivers and impacts.
• Develop financial models, scenarios, and sensitivity analyses for investments and pricing.
• Partner with operations, sales, product management, accounting, and cross-functional teams to improve forecast accuracy.
• Translate metrics into financial outcomes and provide recommendations for decisions.
• Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations communicating insights and actions.
• Collaborate with accounting during period-end close to align results with planning.
• Maintain governance and internal controls, complying with US GAAP and financial policies.
• Drive process improvements, automation, dashboards, and BI tools usage.
• Lead, coach, and develop finance team ensuring accountability and collaboration.
• Support special projects and Finance‑IT initiatives to boost performance.
