Job summary

Abacum is seeking an Implementation Project Manager in New York to own end-to-end delivery of finance planning platform implementations. You will lead pre-sales scoping, draft SOWs, coordinate with partners and internal teams, and ensure value realization for customers.

The role requires 4+ years delivering FP&A/EPM solutions, experience with multi-stakeholder projects, and strong client-facing communication. Equity is offered along with medical, and L&D benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing a financial planning/EPM platform.
• Experience scoping projects pre-sale and presenting SOWs directly to clients.
• Experience managing implementations delivered through partners or resellers.
• Knowledge of FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, consolidation).
• Knowledge of planning use cases such as workforce planning is a bonus.
• Track record managing multi-stakeholder, multi-workstream projects.
• Ability to read scope documents and flag risks.
• Proficiency with SaaS project tools and Agile/hybrid methodologies.
• Excellent at client-facing communication.
• Formal Project Management Qualifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Abacum implementation projects, from pre-sales scoping through kickoff and delivery.
• Partner with Sales during pre-sales to scope projects and present SOWs.
• Build project documents, sprint plans, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage implementations with partners and internal delivery.
• Manage scope, risk, and change control with governance processes.
• Act as trusted advisor to client stakeholders for value realization.
• Coordinate with Product, Support, Sales, Customer Success, and delivery partners.
• Hands-on with the product to unblock the team on platform or FP&A questions.
• Contribute to delivering improvements: AI, templates, sprint cadences, and methodology.
• Mentor junior delivery team members and partner-side consultants.
