Confidential Jobs in New York, NY, is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the North America FP&A function. The role focuses on financial analysis, reporting, and business support for the NA market.

The candidate will help develop and improve planning and reporting processes and provide ongoing analytical support to drive business decisions. Strong Excel and BI skills, ERP experience, and ability to translate data into insights are essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of financial planning, reporting, and analysis concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools (Power BI).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics) and financial consolidation and reporting tools (HFM, FCCS).
  • Highly analytical with attention to detail and ability to translate data into insights.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills for senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive, hands-on, results-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong business partnering mindset with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly close and performance reporting process, including variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis on business performance, including trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor and review trade spend performance, including promotional investments, accruals, and ROI analysis.
  • Marketing budget planning, reporting, analysis and control, collaborating with budget owners to drive accountability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate New Product Development (NPD) performance, including sales, profitability, and ROI.
  • Analyse pricing, cost evolution, and gross margin performance, identifying actionable margin improvement opportunities.
  • Drive Sell-In / Sell-Out / Inventory analysis, including reconciliation, pipeline tracking, and risks/opportunities.
  • Support the annual budget and rolling forecast processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with objectives.
  • Conduct ad hoc and scenario-based analyses to support strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to FP&A best practices, including standardization and automation initiatives.

Position Reports to: Manager – FP & A (North America)

Location: New York, USA

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the FP&A Manager North America, he or she will be responsible for Financial Analysis and Business support for our North America business.

This cover developing and improving financial planning and reporting processes as well as supporting the business through ongoing analysis.

Detailed responsibilities:
  • Support the monthly close and performance reporting process, including variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis on business performance, including trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Monitor and review trade spend performance, including promotional investments, accruals, and ROI analysis, ensuring alignment with budgets and commercial objectives
  • Marketing Budget planning, reporting, analysis and control, collaborating with Budget owners to drive accountability, ensure accuracy
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate New Product Development (NPD) performance, including sales, profitability, and ROI

About the Candidate
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, reporting, and analysis concepts

Experience & Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or related roles
  • Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA / ACA / ACCA is a plus)
