Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional job-related work experience.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides analytical insights and summary reporting for stakeholders without ambiguity.
• Develops visual dashboards for stakeholders to easily comprehend data and identify trends, patterns, and outliers within financial data sets.
• Provides key analysis and recommendations used to administer and support the development and continuous improvement of planning, performance, and reporting.
• Analyzes data to assist with operational and strategic plans; collects and analyzes data to create and evaluate programs to assist with organizational and sales initiatives; tracks spend patterns to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Develops models, reports and metrics to support informed decision making; identifies and highlights key trends and provides insight based on analysis; prepares updates and variance reports for management.
• May work on Cost Benefit Analysis; may work on estimating and modeling benefits to inform strategic decision making.
• Serves as a subject matter expert related to budgets and expenses for business units, analysts and management; supports budget planning process.
• Recommends improvements to processes and procedures to streamline activities; leads improvement projects; identifies viable technological solutions for FP&A processes.
• Mentors less experienced staff; supports training.
• Identifies new analysis needs and drives recommendations from insights into business actions.
• Performs ad-hoc analysis and other related duties as assigned.
