Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking an FP&A Analyst to drive forecasting, close cycles, and financial insight across SPG. You will partner with segment leaders, finance teams, and Corporate FP&A to deliver accurate reporting and actionable recommendations.

This role requires strong financial acumen, analytical rigor, and presentation skills. You will lead reporting, improve tools, and translate data into clear narratives for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or business finance with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with financial systems and reporting tools such as Tableau, Anaplan, SAP BPC.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling and executive-ready presentation development.
• Experience supporting P&L reporting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and financial narratives.
• Proven collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of dashboards and reporting tools that improve financial visibility, simplify consolidation, and support executive reviews.
• Partner across business unit finance teams and Corporate FP&A to define requirements, align priorities, and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Drive process and systems improvements that increase the speed, accuracy, and consistency of forecast and actuals cycles.
• Deliver high-quality analysis and financial narratives that support planning, close, and executive decision-making.
• Provide decision support through ad hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and insights for the Segment CFO and leadership team.
• Own headcount and labor modeling to support quarterly forecasts, annual planning, and target setting.
