Job summary

Seaboard Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across OpEx, SG&A, and capital. This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and corporate functions to translate cost and project assumptions into a clear view of spend and earnings below gross margin.

The analyst owns flux analysis, ensures accurate results vs. budget and forecast, and drives insights with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business required.
• 5+ years FP&A or related finance experience.
• Experience developing budgets and long-range financial plans.
• Advanced Excel skills with financial modeling, pivot tables, and scenario analysis.
• Experience partnering with operational or functional leaders to support financial decision-making.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with leadership at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Own OpEx, SG&A, and capital forecast models and monthly/long-range reporting.
• Compile the annual budget for OpEx, SG&A, and capital with cost center owners.
• Manage variance (flux) analysis with clear drivers for leadership.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and corporate functions to track spend and flag risks and opportunities.
• Support the capital process including project tracking, spend forecasting, ROI/payback analysis, and post-completion review.
• Build scenario and sensitivity analyses around cost structure, headcount, maintenance timing, and capital spend.
• Maintain reporting, dashboards, and KPIs for cost centers and functions; improve recurring deliverables.
• Support month-end close through accrual review and collaboration with Accounting.
