Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis professional in Fort Worth, TX to drive financial analysis of strategic projects and support executive decision-making. You will lead cross-departmental teams, benchmark industry performance, and provide insightful analyses for Commercial and Finance groups.

The role requires strong modeling skills, Excel/PowerPoint proficiency, and a background in strategic finance within or related to the airline industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training.
• Previous strategic financial analysis experience creating or working on complex models.
• MBA preferred with airline industry familiarity in Commercial, Operations, and/or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities for financial and operational improvement and leads cross-departmental teams to initiate change
• Provides industry benchmarking reporting and analysis
• Provides ad hoc support to various Commercial and Finance groups, often working as an internal consultant
• Mantains a comprehensive database of industry financial results, and deliver competitive insights that assist management in developing or altering strategic and financial objective
• Assists in development of executive and Board level presentation materials
• Mantains a positive relationship with internal finance, commercial, and operational groups to provide analytical insights and support strategic decisions across business units
