Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support Core Services finance, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis across Legal, People, Data Science, and IT. The role collaborates with Accounting on monthly closes and partners with hiring teams to track headcount, while monitoring cloud and vendor spend and seeking AI-driven automation opportunities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in FP&A or related finance, a Finance/economics degree, and hands-on experience with

Qualifications

5+ years of FP&A or related role.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.
Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills.
Experience with Pigment or NetSuite.
Understanding of accruals and monthly close.
Familiarity with cloud cost management.
Ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

Prepare and validate Core Services forecasts for each planning cycle.
Produce monthly budget updates and variance analysis for budget owners and executive leadership.
Partner with Accounting to reconcile actuals and resolve monthly close discrepancies.
Maintain headcount tracking and coordinate with hiring teams.
Monitor vendor and cloud spending, including purchase orders and renewals.
Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to recurring financial processes.
Support Core Services teams with financial data and reporting requests.
