Job summary

Niles Enterprises is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to own full P&L responsibilities, forecasting, variance analysis, and job performance tracking within the FP&A team.

The role collaborates with Project Managers, Estimators, and operations leadership to translate data into actionable insights and support daily decision-making. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and lifecycle financial tracking for a designated business unit.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in financial analysis or related roles.
• Construction/industrial services or manufacturing background preferred with WIP familiarity.
• Strong understanding of P&L drivers (revenue, cost, margin).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Working knowledge of WIP, POC, and job cost accounting.
• Ability to collaborate with operations leaders and support decisions daily.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own financial reporting and analysis for assigned business unit.
• Partner with operations leadership, PMs, and estimators to provide financial insight.
• Lead business unit reviews and present P&L results, margins, and forecasts.
• Provide financial input on pricing, staffing, and resource decisions.
• Identify risks, cost overruns, and margin issues; recommend actions.
• Participate in bid reviews and operational planning discussions.
• Own budgeting and forecasting for the unit; build financial models.
• Prepare monthly reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking.
• Monitor job cost, WIP, and POC; analyze variances and trends.
• Deliver insights to operations and FP&A leadership; support ad hoc requests.
