Job summary

Dart Container is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who turns data into business insights and partners across Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Operations, Product, Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to drive profitability and informed decisions.

You'll develop forecasts, evaluate investments, and build ROI analyses for initiatives like automation, capacity expansion, and new products, helping leaders prioritize capital and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of FP&A or related financial role.
• Strong financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and business-case development skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to translate goals into actionable financial plans.
• Develop and monitor forecasts for monthly IBP and annual AOP processes.
• Analyze financial performance and explain drivers and variances vs plan, prior year, and prior periods.
• Evaluate performance across pricing, incentives, cost centers, activity rates, inventory valuation, logistics costs, revenue, and margin.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses for new initiatives and cost savings.
• Build ROI and capital investment analyses (NPV, IRR, payback) for projects such as automation, capacity expansion, and new products.
• Lead capital portfolio reporting and analytics, including spend tracking, forecasting, commitments, risks, opportunities, and investment prioritization.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to determine whether projects delivered the financial benefits outlined in their original business cases.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve the consistency, accuracy, and usefulness of financial data.
• Support plant accounting activities during month-end and year-end close.
• Monitor industry, market, and competitive trends to provide additional insight for business decisions.

In this role, you’ll partner across Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Operations, Product, Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to analyze performance, develop forecasts, evaluate investments, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and return on investment.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A or a related financial role.

• Ability to turn financial data into clear recommendations and actionable business insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and building relationships across an organization.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and limited lead times.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, strategic thinking, and results-oriented mindset.

Preferred

• Experience supporting the Food Service or National Accounts business.
• Experience with capital investment analysis, manufacturing, supply chain, or plant finance.
