Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Central FP&A team and drive Income Statement reporting across our Core and AI businesses.

You will build automation to streamline reporting, surface trends and opportunities for AWS leadership, and contribute to cost reduction and revenue acceleration strategies. Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related analytical field (or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in quantitative role).
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated reporting for Income Statement results, highlighting trends, outliers, and actionable opportunities for AWS leadership.
• Collaborate with partner finance teams to identify data sources, understand business drivers, and develop KPIs that support cost efficiency and revenue growth.
• Use QuickSight and other AI-based tools to model, consolidate, and transform complex data sets into dynamic financial reports and analyses.
• Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews, risk and opportunity assessments, and month-end close activities.
• Audit data for accuracy, identify root causes of discrepancies, and implement process improvements that strengthen financial controls.
