Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Networking Finance team in Seattle. You will partner with Network Engineering and Supply Chain to support investment decisions, develop controllership around FP&A processes, and provide financial support for new initiatives.

You will build scalable analyses, model financial impact, and work with cross-functional partners and senior leadership to drive performance, cost management, and strategic planning for AWS

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
• 3+ years of contributing to cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating financial review meetings with senior business and finance leadership to support decision making.
• Maintain, and improve, existing finance processes to ensure data integrity, efficient and insightful analysis.
• Play a critical role in cost management, controllership, business case development, decision-making, and metrics development.
• Uses solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders.
• Drives controllership around new initiatives such as Generative AI investments, automation projects and technology transition initiatives reporting.
