Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to act as a trusted analytical partner for business stakeholders. The role owns planning, forecasting, budgeting, month-end close support, and variance analysis, delivering insights that shape resource decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
3–6 years FP&A or related experience in finance roles.
Advanced Excel with complex modeling and data analysis.
Knowledge of financial statements and how they connect.
Experience with ERP/planning tools (NetSuite/SAP/Oracle).
Experience using AI-augmented tools to improve finance workflows.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain finance concepts.
Ability to manage multiple priorities against tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Own monthly and quarterly forecasting for OpEx/CapEx and headcount modeling.
Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies in financial workflows using Claude AI.
Lead the annual budget cycle with bottoms-up plans and top-down targets.
Deliver month-end variance analyses and flag risks and opportunities.
Build and maintain financial models for business cases and scenarios.
Partner with Accounting on close activities including accruals and reconciliations.
Develop recurring management reporting and dashboards with automation.
Present findings to finance leadership in clear terms.
Support ad hoc analyses for executive leadership and board inputs.
