Job summary

AAR is seeking an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst in Greensboro, NC to provide analytic support for Aircraft Reconfiguration Technologies.

You will partner with finance, operations, and program management, delivering rigorous forecasting, budgeting, and margin analysis to drive performance. You will build detailed financial models, consolidate plans, and translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership while maintaining internal controls and supporting ad hoc analytics and

Qualifications

• Degree from a four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive FP&A or finance business partnering experience.
• Background in manufacturing or operations; aerospace or MRO experience a plus.
• Strong initiative, curiosity, and ownership mindset.
• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to synthesize data into insights.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models capturing program financials, drivers, metrics and risk factors.
• Support budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Perform variance analyses (actual vs forecast/budget) and identify opportunities.
• Partner with program mgmt, engineering, operations, and supply chain to analyze performance.
• Model, track, and report programs' financials using ERP data vs budgets.
• Drive initiatives to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to program mgmt, operations, supply chain, and engineering.
• Translate complex data into clear insights for senior leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify cost reductions, working capital improvements and cash optimization.
• Support accounting to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
• Maintain compliance with policies, controls, and audit requirements.
• Support ad hoc analyses and executive presentations.
