Job summary

Ontic, a leading global aerospace OEM, seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst for its Miramar, FL site to drive forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. You will partner with Finance, Operations, and Value Stream leaders to turn data into actionable insights and improve margins and productivity.

You will work hands-on with financial models, dashboards, and KPI tracking to support site initiatives and management narratives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of analyst experience in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills with financial model building and large data analysis.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills to translate data into insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and drivers.
  • Growth mindset, self-starter, curiosity, problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, Power BI or similar tools preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, MRO, or aerospace is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual Budget, quarterly Forecast, and weekly Flash processes with business leaders.
  • Analyze performance against budget/forecast with focus on margins, EBITDA, cash flow.
  • Track key financial and operational KPIs like margin, labor productivity, inventory, throughput.
  • Collaborate with Value Stream, Operations, and site leadership to drive improvements.
  • Support margin, productivity, and cost-reduction initiatives with financial analysis.
  • Create and present periodic financial reports and narratives to management.
  • Develop business cases and provide financial support for investments and headcount.
  • Enhance reporting tools and dashboards using Snowflake, OneStream, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in Finance.
  • Assist in monthly Financial Close with analysis, narrative, accruals, and reconciliations as needed.
  • Perform ad hoc financial/operational analyses for FP&A manager and site leadership.

Our team is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join them. You will report to the FP&A Manager and will have an onsite work structure in Miramar, FL.

The Senior FP&A Analyst will partner closely with Finance, Operations, and Value Stream leaders to understand and drive financial and operational performance. The role will support forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, with a strong focus on margin, labor productivity, cost reduction, and operational KPIs. This is a hands‑on role focused on turning data into actionable insights and partnering with the business to drive results.

To be considered for the Senior FP&A Analyst opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of analyst experience in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial model building and analysis of large datasets
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working across Finance, Operations, and other functions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles, financial statements, and key financial drivers
  • Growth mindset, self‑starter, innate curiosity, and a problem‑solving mentality
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, PowerBI, or similar data and visualization tools preferred
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, MRO, or aerospace environment preferred
As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will:
  • Be a major stakeholder and driver of the annual Budget, quarterly Forecast, and weekly Flash processes, partnering with business leaders to understand and challenge underlying assumptions
  • Analyze business performance against budget, forecast, and strategic goals, with a focus on sales, gross margin, EBITDA, cash flow, and the key drivers contributing to each.
  • Track, analyze, and understand key financial and operational information, including sales and cost performance, margin, labor productivity, inventory, WIP, bookings, throughput, turnaround time, cash flow, and other business/operations KPIs,
  • Partner closely with Value Stream leaders, Operations, and site leadership to understand financial and operating performance, identify risks and opportunities, and work alongside the teams to drive improvement
  • Support margin improvement, labor productivity, and cost reduction initiatives through financial analysis, visibility, and ongoing performance tracking
  • Prepare and present periodic financial reporting and narrative for site and senior management, clearly communicating key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop business cases and provide financial support for operational improvements, capital investments, headcount decisions, and other site initiatives
  • Contribute to and design ways to further leverage financial reporting and data systems, including Snowflake, OneStream, Power BI, and Excel
  • Develop and improve financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to increase visibility into business performance and reduce manual reporting
  • Identify opportunities within the Finance team and broader business for process improvement and automation
  • Interface with the broader Finance organization in the consolidation, analysis, and narrative of financial results
  • Assist in certain aspects of monthly Financial Close, including analysis, narrative, accrual support, journal entries, and account reconciliations as needed (note: this is not an Accounting position)
  • Perform ad hoc financial and operational analysis to support the FP&A Manager and site leadership
