Job summary

xenergy is seeking a Senior AI Platform Leader to steward the APEX platform, coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and operations. You will design, deploy, and scale AI-native solutions, guide architectural decisions, and drive enterprise-wide adoption of agentic AI workflows while ensuring high reliability and safety across nuclear-focused deployments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in agentic AI workflows, LLM applications, and enterprise-scale AI solutioning.
  • Advanced expertise in agentic AI workflows, LLM applications, and enterprise-scale AI solutioning.
  • Extensive experience developing with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead organization-wide training strategies and frameworks for APEX platform capabilities and agentic AI workflows.
  • Conduct advanced training sessions for executive sponsors, senior engineers, and functional leaders.
  • Establish a scalable operating model for office hours, support channels, and technical advisory services.
  • Deliver high-visibility presentations, demos, and roadshows highlighting new features and use cases.
  • Provide editorial and technical oversight for APEX blogs, videos, and content produced by juniors.
  • Partner with training to define long-term curriculum, certification pathways, and learning standards.
  • Lead planning and execution of APEX workshops, summits, and external events.
  • Oversee intake, triage, and prioritization of complex stakeholder feedback for product planning.
  • Govern the APEX roadmap voting system to align with strategic priorities.
  • Escalate complex support cases requiring deep technical investigation.
  • Identify adoption gaps and develop enablement plans at scale.
  • Cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and operations.
  • Voice the customer to shape long-term product direction and architecture.
  • Architect advanced agentic AI workflows addressing multi-department challenges.
  • Lead frontend development using React, TS, Tailwind, and Vite for reliability and scalability.
  • Architect backend services with AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB) to support AI apps.
  • Create proofs-of-concept and prototypes; mentor on prototyping approaches.
  • Collaborate with leadership to influence feature prioritization and roadmaps.
  • Lead user acceptance testing and readiness for deployment in high-stakes workflows.
  • Maintain feedback loops between users, engineering, and product stakeholders.
  • Guide integration architecture tying APEX to Workday, Deltek, P6, and more.
  • Provide senior input during code reviews and promote best practices.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and coach others.
  • Document and standardize complex patterns and reference architectures.

This senior-level role serves as a strategic technical leader and organizational bridge between X‑energy's APEX platform development team and high‑impact stakeholders across the company. The Forward Deployed Software Engineer V drives enterprise‑wide adoption, effectiveness, and innovation of the APEX platform through advanced stakeholder engagement, technical leadership, and cross‑functional alignment.

This role requires deep expertise in agentic AI workflows and the ability to guide teams in designing, deploying, and scaling AI‑native solutions across engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and operational domains.

In addition to enabling the organization, the Level V engineer contributes directly to complex product‑engineering initiatives, ensuring that platform capabilities address high‑risk, mission‑critical challenges. This position is instrumental in advancing X‑energy's mission to become an AI‑first organization and shaping industry‑leading standards for nuclear deployment speed, safety, and operational excellence.
