Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as a dedicated, hands-on technical expert embedded within customer environments. This role leads complex, enterprise-scale engagements, guiding architecture and delivery while operating with autonomy and executive alignment.

You will own end-to-end customer transformations, design and implement Cloudflare solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure success and smooth handoffs across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Recognized expertise in one of: Applications, Network, Leadership & Mentorship, Networking foundation, Project & Program Management, Communication & Executive Presence, Regional experience.

Responsibilities

• Embed & integrate as a trusted member of the customer’s technical team and follow change-management processes.
• Hands-on design, configuration, and optimization of Cloudflare solutions in the customer environment.
• Provide proactive architectural guidance, roadmaps, and best-practice recommendations; produce designs, plans, and handoff artifacts.
• Lead technical workshops and knowledge-transfer sessions; document decisions, runbooks, and configurations; surface product gaps to Engineering and Product.
