Job summary

Stem IT is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join a fast-growing cyber security team in the DC area. You will lead customer deployments for the Forward Deployed Engineering team and help scale the practice while evolving into a hands-on manager.

The role requires 8+ years in platform, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, plus hands-on experience with Kubernetes in air-gapped environments, Helm, Terraform, and major cloud providers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Platform, DevOps, SRE, and/or Infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience with Helm, Terraform, CI/CD, and any of the major cloud providers.
• Scripting experience with Python and Bash.
• Ability to operate in a fast paced environment.
• Experience with bare-metal Kubernetes deployments in air-gapped environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer deployments for the FDE team.
• Scale and guide the deployment engineering effort for critical infrastructure.
• Support transition toward a hands-on manager of the team.

Job description

A McLean, VA based cyber security company is searching for Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join their scaling team. Their product is used to protect the nations critical infrastructure including water treatment facilities, power plants, manufacturing, supply chains, nuclear plants, etc. This position will be leading customer deployments for their FDE team and ideally looking for someone who wants to transition into a hands on manager of the team.

Required
