micro1 is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of high-assurance AI systems for U.S. Government missions in the Greater Washington DC area.

You will own complex initiatives, drive architecture decisions, and mentor engineers across prototype to production stages. The role covers data curation, ML infrastructure, and scalable deployment across frontier AI platforms in mission-critical environments, with forward-deployed work for government

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering production-grade AI systems.
• Experience with high-security, government-facing projects.
• Strong architectural leadership and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of agentic AI systems from prototype to production.
• Architect and integrate LLM applications and multi-agent systems.
• Serve as senior technical partner to government stakeholders and translate needs into scalable systems.
• Develop data curation and evaluation pipelines for model training and improvement.
• Design and scale infrastructure for model inference, experimentation, and deployment.
