Job summary

Amazon is seeking a forward deployed engineer to embed with enterprise customers, designing, building, deploying, and running AI-powered production systems. You will own outcomes end-to-end, from prototype to deployment, and define scalable architectures for high-traffic environments.

The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI eligibility clearance, with up to 25% travel. You will lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and help accelerate customer transformation within AWS.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one programming language.
5+ years of leading design or architecture for systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Active US Government Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (or higher).
Experience leading AI/production-scale agentic development.
Experience with AI tooling incl. eval frameworks, RAG pipelines, prompts.

Responsibilities

Lead technical delivery across customer engagements and align architecture to long-term strategy.
Architect and build scalable production AI systems handling enterprise traffic.
Define operational standards, tests, observability and incident response for AI systems.
Scale the team through patterns, hiring, and mentoring.
Identify opportunities to expand AI adoption and drive value for customers.
