Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a seasoned Forward Deployed AI Engineer to embed with customers, shape technical direction, and deliver scalable AI applications. You will work directly with enterprise teams to pilot use cases, drive production readiness, and align AI initiatives with business goals.

You will develop full-stack AI apps, codify reference architectures, and mentor teams while collaborating across product and customer teams. Occasional travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and deploying production-grade AI systems.
• Hands-on software engineering, data engineering and applied AI/ML skills.
• Experience with foundation models, context engineering, fine-tuning, semantic search, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Deep understanding of LLMOps/MLOps including evaluation, observability, serving and lifecycle management.
• Experience designing scalable AI solution architectures aligned to enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to rapidly pilot AI use cases and deliver enterprise AI capabilities.
• Develop full-stack AI applications to demonstrate AI and agentic solutions for real business needs.
• Advise customer leaders on AI roadmaps and deployment considerations.
• Codify patterns into repeatable architectures and starter kits.
• Mentor teams and contribute to reusable tooling and platform improvements.
