Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) for Prisma AIRS to embed with customer teams. You write production code, design low-latency topologies, and build plugins to deploy secure enterprise AI workloads to production.

You will bridge customer environments with core engineering, contribute code back to the Prisma AIRS engine, and collaborate with Product and Core SWE to translate enterprise patterns into platform features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or equivalent practical experience, or 7+ years of software engineering.
• Expertise in Python, Go, TypeScript, or C++ with enterprise API development experience.
• Experience with containerization, orchestration, and IaC across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade code to integrate Prisma AIRS with microservices and multi-cloud architectures.
• Build middleware/plugins for identity-aware policies, prompt security, and telemetry pipelines.
• Develop deployment modules using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes; create SDK wrappers.
• Analyze traces to diagnose edge-case failures and contribute to platform features.
