Job summary

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group in New York City is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer with strong Fortinet expertise to design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise networks featuring Fortinet security fabric, FortiGate, and SD-WAN across multiple sites.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, Fortinet professional/expert level certification (FCP, FCSS, NSE 4–8), and the ability to support a 24x7 environment in a financial services setting.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of professional network engineering experience.
• Fortinet certification at professional or expert level: FCP, FCSS or NSE 4–8 (required).
• Advanced hands-on experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and FortiAnalyzer.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and transition firewalls, switches and network solutions.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, VPN, firewall and VoIP equipment (Fortinet).
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and critical outages.
• Produce network assessments, capacity plans, designs, implementation/test plans and scripts.
• Create accurate network diagrams and design documentation (Visio).
• Support web-proxy environments (Zscaler or McAfee Web Proxy).
• Escalate service issues and guide team members.
