Job summary

BlackHawk Data LLC is seeking a Fortinet Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Fortinet security solutions for enterprise clients. The role focuses on hands-on configuration of Fortinet devices, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security, with strong collaboration across internal teams and clients in the NYC metro area.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in network security, NSE 4 certification (NSE 5/6 preferred), and a BS/IT-related degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in network security and Fortinet product implementation/management.
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification required; NSE 5/6 certifications highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Fortinet security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
• Configure and maintain Fortinet devices and services for optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Monitor security systems, identify threats, and respond to incidents promptly and effectively.
• Provide technical support to clients and document configurations and changes.
