Placements24 is seeking a Senior Formulation Scientist for a leading pharmaceutical company in Welkom, Free State. You will design, develop, and optimize stable oral solid dosage formulations, collaborating with analytical, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to advance product candidates.

You will lead formulation development programs, interpret stability data, ensure QbD and quality by design, and contribute to regulatory filings (IND/NDA) while mentoring junior scientists in Welkom.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on formulation development experience.
• Experience with oral solid dosage form development and regulatory considerations.

About the Role

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Proven expertise in oral solid dosage form development, including formulation strategies for challenging molecules.
• Hands-on experience with common pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (e.g., mixers, granulators, tablet presses, encapsulators).
• Strong understanding of excipient functionality and compatibility.
• Knowledge of quality by design (QbD) principles and risk assessment tools.
• Experience with stability testing programs and interpretation of stability data.
• Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA) relevant to drug product development is essential for this role in Welkom .
