Job summary

Ingram Micro, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Equipment Operator to support safe and efficient warehouse operations. You will operate gas- and electric-powered forklifts to move, load, unload, stack, and transport materials throughout the facility.

The role supports shipping/receiving, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization while adhering to safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and independent work in a fast-paced environment are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience operating forklifts in warehouse, DC, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling, shipping/receiving, and inventory.
• Ability to safely operate gas- and/or electric-powered forklifts.
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and resolve operational issues.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload incoming and outbound transportation vehicles, including raw materials and finished goods.
• Move materials between designated warehouse locations while maintaining safe product flow.
• Perform forklift and equipment safety inspections before operating equipment.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory and organized work areas.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, staging, replenishment as needed.
• Provide training or mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
• Exercise independent judgment to resolve non-routine issues.
