Job summary

Briggs Industrial Solutions is seeking a Technician 2 to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment on-site in Jacksonville, FL. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic welding, while maintaining safety and accurate service records.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in forklift repair or related mechanical work, read precision instruments, and hold Briggs product line certifications (Hyster-Yale a plus).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of forklift repair or related mechanical experience.
• Ability to read precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges).
• Certification on Briggs Equipment product line; Hyster-Yale certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment and components including engines, motors, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, and lifting systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, failure analysis, and basic welding to meet manufacturer specs.
• Maintain safety, keep accurate service records, manage parts, and support the team as needed.
