Job summary

ArborWorks, a nationwide vegetation management leader, seeks a General Foreperson to supervise multiple crews and ensure safe, compliant contract execution in Denver. You will translate plans into field results while maintaining ArborWorks’ safety culture and quality standards.

The role demands strong leadership, decision-making, and the ability to balance safety, quality, and productivity in dynamic outdoor environments. Travel within service areas is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Foreperson or equivalent leadership role in utility vegetation management.
• Minimum 12 months of hands-on experience in utility line clearance or arboricultural operations.
• Strong leadership and team management in a field-based environment.
• Solid understanding of safety requirements.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to balance safety, quality, and productivity in field operations.
• Proficiency with reporting and documentation technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and accountability for multiple Forepersons and their crews.
• Set clear safety, quality, productivity, and conduct expectations; hold Forepersons to performance.
• Coach and develop Forepersons and crew members for skill growth and succession planning.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily vegetation management operations to optimize labor and equipment use.
• Monitor progress, adjust resources, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, specifications, and quality standards.
• Lead safety initiatives: tailboards, briefings, observations, PPE usage.
• Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.
