EFI Global in the greater Chicago area seeks a Senior Forensic Structural Engineer to lead investigations of structural failures across commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. The role requires a PE license and ~8 years of experience, with strong written and verbal communication to convey findings.

You will guide teams, prepare detailed reports, testify when needed, and collaborate with a global network of experts to deliver actionable conclusions. Travel as required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the resident state.
• Eight years of experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in forensic engineering and structural failure analysis preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assign engineers to client losses and manage quality control.
• Survey losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial buildings.
• Conduct investigations to determine and document damage scope.
• Provide guidance on complex losses and lead engineering strategies.
• Collaborate with investigators to report cause and origin of losses.
• Serve as an expert witness in court or depositions.
• Document billable hours for projects and forensic engineering work.
• Collaborate with EFI's national team of forensic experts.
