Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Six years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Survey losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial buildings.
• Conduct investigations to determine and document the scope of damage.
• Investigate and assess damages due to failures and determine the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.
• Analyze and document the failure analysis and causation of failures.
• Collaborate with Fire Investigators to produce detailed reports outlining cause and origin of losses and damages.
• Serve as an expert witness in court and/or depositions.
• Document and maintain billable hours on a time and expense basis for forensic engineering projects for clients.
• Collaborate with EFI's national team of forensic experts to leverage experiences on projects.
