Walker Consultants is seeking a Restoration Consultant in Overland Park, KS to join our growing team. The role focuses on evaluating existing structures, developing repair strategies, and overseeing restoration efforts with a client-focused mindset.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture, a professional license, and 5+ years of forensic/restoration experience. Travel willingness and strong writing are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or Architecture, with a professional license in architecture, structural engineering, or civil engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in forensic and/or restoration fields, including creating condition assessment reports and restoration construction documents.
• Strong writing, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, surveys, and testing to diagnose deficiencies in existing structures.
• Analyze plans, specifications, and calculations prepared by others.
• Monitor progress, budget adherence, and procedural standards across projects.
• Develop repair schemes and restoration recommendations; perform or review condition appraisals.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation in PM software.
• Lead multiple projects and teams of engineers and technical staff.
• Grow restoration and forensic engineering services with clients.
• Mentor and train less experienced staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
