The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer to lead investigations of mechanical systems and prepare detailed remediation plans for property claims and design defects. You will conduct field inspections, develop scopes and budgets, and author expert reports for senior management and clients.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 12+ years of related experience (8+ with a Master's), and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related experience or a Master's with 8 years, including 5+ in management.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with multiple states preferred.
• Proven track record of independent work, client coordination, and report production.

Responsibilities

• Lead forensic investigations and prepare expert reports with remediation plans.
• Coordinate with team members and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Perform field inspections to determine cause and origin of incidents.
• Ensure client satisfaction and on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Support management in budgeting, utilization targets, and revenue goals.
