Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer to lead investigations of mechanical systems, oversee project management, and develop remediation plans for property damage and defect claims. You will author detailed reports and coordinate with clients and senior leadership to ensure successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities include field inspections, research of failures, and producing high-quality work products while maintaining budget and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and 12 years of related experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with multi-state eligibility.
  • Experience in forensic investigations of mechanical systems and knowledge of HVAC is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work Product Creation, Project Management, Coordination with Team Members.
  • Conduct forensic field inspections of residential and commercial property damage and defect claims.
  • Research failures in mechanical systems to determine cause and origin of incidents.
  • Develop remediation plans including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Author investigative reports for senior management review and client presentation.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by meeting on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Support management by monitoring utilization, deadlines, and timesheet accuracy.
  • Travel as needed to support clients and projects.
  • Quality control of all deliverables and timely escalation of issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
