Job summary

Halliwell Engineering Associates seeks a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with 5+ years of experience to assess commercial, institutional, and industrial structures across the region. The role involves evaluating distress, performing field investigations, and drafting detailed reports with repair recommendations.

The candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team, receive mentorship from senior staff, and contribute to client relationship development within Missouri and Kansas.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the States of Missouri and Kansas.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural analysis, evaluation, and design of structures (buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, etc.) or building envelope systems.
• BS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture.
• MS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the condition and potential cause of distress to a wide range of structural buildings and facilities.
• Perform field investigations of site conditions and subsequent analyses of structural components.
• Produce written reports detailing findings of investigations, including conceptual repair recommendations.
• Work with an inter-disciplinary team of engineers and construction consultants as part of investigations.
• Receive mentoring from senior engineering staff and provide mentorship to junior staff members.
• Develop and maintain client relationships through projects and team-related activities within the region.

Purpose

We are searching for an engineering with 5+ years’ experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer. The position will be responsible for the assessment of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing structural and building failure analysis, evaluations on damaged structures, and/or conducting facilities/building condition assessments.

Key Accountabilities

Individual Responsibilities

Experience And Qualifications

Additional Requirements
