Job summary

CBIZ, Inc. in the United States seeks a senior forensic accountant to perform preliminary valuation, forensic analyses, and data input for expert exhibits supporting litigation.

You will lead project teams, supervise staff, liaise with clients, and develop forensic and economics models while adhering to professional standards and confidentiality.

Knowledge of family law contexts and CPA qualifications preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field required; master's preferred.
• 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary valuation, forensic, and appraisal analyses, including development of comparative adjusted financial statements and data input for expert witness exhibits.
• Lead project management and supervise staff in engagements.
• Be knowledgeable of relevant statutes and family codes as they apply to accounting principles in forensic work.
• Participate in client assignments from start to finish.
• Create forensic and economics models for presentation of forensic accounting.
• Identify case issues and communicate findings to managers and partners to resolve client issues.
• Coordinate with discovery team to inventory and reconcile documents for submission to courts and clients.
• Prepare exhibits and background information for expert witness testimony.
• Maintain high professional standards, client confidentiality and conduct.
