Hourigan Group is seeking a General Foreman to supervise a team of carpenters and laborers on site in Richmond, VA. The candidate will oversee daily tasks, read project drawings, and coordinate material orders with the Superintendent.

This role requires strong leadership, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to Hourigan’s safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction, is fluent inEnglish with Spanish preferred, and can work non-traditional hours

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience and experience managing a team.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site employees and assist when necessary.
• Know project plans and specifications for daily tasks.
• Operate tools for framing, drywall, millwork, doors, and concrete as required.
• Manage material storage and job site access to avoid delays.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and SHMS practices observed.
