Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks a seasoned forecasting and operations research professional to lead modeling efforts that inform staffing, facility planning, technology implementation, and annual business plans.

You will develop forecasting systems, create data pipelines, and present analyses to senior management, driving manpower planning and operational efficiency across domestic and international activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, or operations research.
• Five years of forecasting, business analysis, and operations research experience.
• Experience using advanced forecasting and modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develops project plans, ensures completion and accuracy, and coordinates with team members.
• Develops alternative forecasting techniques and computer systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Conducts retrospective analysis of forecast accuracy and updates models with new data.
• Defines data requirements, creates databases, and uses software to obtain data.
• Develops forecasting systems and provides access through online databases and reporting tools.
• Builds models to predict operational volumes in customer service and international operations.
• Uses statistical methods to analyze operating statistics and components.
• Develops predictive models to support manpower planning for short-term, annual, and long-range needs.
• Prepares and reports forecast analyses for senior management.
• Communicates forecasts clearly to users and aligns with their needs.
• Explores alternative forecasting techniques and systems to improve accuracy.
• Develops models to predict volumes in customer service and international operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned
