Job summary

Nestlé IT in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Data Scientist (Forecasting) to drive production forecasting by partnering with Supply Chain Planning and Analytics teams. You will design, deploy, and optimize forecasting models, embed GenAI into workflows, and deliver scalable solutions on cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science, forecasting, or advanced analytics with hands-on SQL and Python.
• 3+ years deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy statistical and ML forecasting models in production on cloud platforms.
• Improve forecast performance through pattern recognition, algorithm selection, and parameter optimization.
• Create and maintain scalable forecasting processes using ML Ops.
• Embed GenAI and Agentic AI into forecasting workflows to surface improvements and automate analysis.
• Evaluate deep learning and probabilistic forecasting methods to scale across SKUs and data sources.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning, Marketing, Finance, and Sales to align needs with solutions.
• Deliver training and forecast office hours to enable analytics literacy.
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards for KPI monitoring and data validation.
