Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Statistical Forecast & Accuracy in Irving, TX. This role is an individual contributor within Demand Planning, owning the statistical forecast and ensuring the baseline reflects true demand patterns across portfolios, with governance over bias and model parameters.

The role requires 7+ years in demand planning, hands-on Kinaxis Maestro experience, and comfort operating in a structured S&OP process. Hybrid work with near Las Colinas, two days on-site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in demand planning, analytics, or related field with hands-on experience owning statistical forecast config and model governance in a production planning environment.
• Direct experience with Kinaxis Maestro: parameter config, model selection, and demand planning engine operation.
• Experience with comparable planning systems (SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, or o9) with rapid Maestro proficiency expected.
• Proven ability to diagnose forecast failures, including history cleansing, outlier management, and model parameter adjustment.
• Proven ability to build and maintain a forecast accuracy and bias measurement framework with root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Configuring, maintaining, and intervening in Kinaxis Maestro to ensure reliable forecasts across portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Own the configuration and maintenance of statistical forecast parameters in Kinaxis Maestro, including model selection and parameter tuning.
• Apply history cleansing prior to forecast cycles, adjusting for outliers, losses, NDC switches, and new product launches.
• Intervene when outputs are wrong: update parameters, document rationale for changes.
• Serve as primary contact for COE on forecast configuration, governance and engine integrity.
• Own forecast accuracy and bias measurement across portfolios, tracking MAPE, bias and errors.
• Perform structured root cause analysis on misses and communicate findings to leadership.
• Identify and flag systematic bias and drive model adjustments to correct it.
• Maintain continuous improvement cadence and align with data quality improvements.
• Prepare forecast performance reporting for S&OP reviews with cross-functional visibility.
