Job summary

Nike Inc Beaverton is seeking a Senior Footwear Product Engineer for the NikeSKIMS Product Creation team. You will help drive footwear product creation from brief to commercialization, collaborating with NIKE onshore/offshore partners across design, development, testing, and manufacturing to ensure craft, fit, comfort and cost/value.

The role requires reading technical drawings, 3D CAD files, and a systems‑level approach to solve problems while guiding decisions with data and consumer insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Footwear Product Creation, Product Testing, Development, or related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant footwear industry experience in manufacturing, development or engineering.
• Ability to read technical drawings and 2D/3D files and translate to specs.
• Knowledge of lasts, pattern engineering, tooling, and testing methodologies is preferred.
• Strong communication with internal and external partners; cross‑cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide early technical guidance on construction, materials, tooling, and cost considerations.
• Identify risks in manufacturing, sustainability, quality and costing early.
• Review samples and give feedback to achieve cost‑effective, high‑quality deliverables.
• Develop NikeSKIMS engineering best practices and improve existing processes.
