Job summary

Edward Don & Company is seeking a talented CAD Designer to create foodservice equipment drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and AutoQuotes. You will develop kitchen, bar, and service area drawings with detailed schedules and specifications, coordinating with architects, engineers, and owners.

This role is fully remote with travel to our Corporate location in Woodridge, IL or other sites as needed. Central Time Zone residence is required, with the possibility of travel; strong software proficiency and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years relevant experience or HS diploma with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience reading construction plans and drawings.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities; effective problem-solving and multitasking.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create foodservice equipment drawings for kitchens, bars, and service areas using AutoCAD, Revit and AutoQuotes.
• Produce plumbing, electrical, and mechanical rough-ins, elevations and special condition plans.
• Review drawings and submittals from manufacturers for accuracy against specifications.
• Apply building codes, site requirements, and related documents to determine impacts on plans.
• Generate schedules, MEPs, and elevations; update plans with revisions.
• Coordinate with internal staff, installation, GCs, subcontractors, and customers to meet schedule and budget.
• Assist with submittals, cut books for specs and owners manuals; maintain electronic library.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
