Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a seasoned Foodservice Design Manager to lead the planning, technical execution, and day-to-day coordination of design projects across the company’s portfolio.

You will manage Foodservice Designers and BIM Managers, guiding the creation of dining spaces for corporate workplaces, education, sports, and leisure sectors, while helping establish national design guidelines. A strong background in Revit/AutoCAD and CSI 11400 is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional experience in commercial foodservice design, kitchen planning, and design coordination.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, KCL, and AutoQuotes.
• Strong expertise in CSI Division 11400 specifications, health/sanitation codes, equipment cost estimating, and MEP coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise designers, manage multi-project workflows, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage and guide Foodservice Designers and BIM staff on daily project tasks, Revit/CAD standards, and production deadlines.
• Oversee and develop foodservice layouts across all design phases (SD, DD, CD, and CA), ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with project scopes.
• Supervise the drafting of equipment layouts, plumbing/electrical utility rough-ins, and Special Conditions plans, coordinating with external Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Review and approve equipment selections, AutoQuotes documentation, cut books, and 11400 manuals for accuracy and code compliance.
• Review custom millwork and fabrication drawings, collaborating with the VP of Design to implement design modifications.
• Serve as the primary design contact in project meetings, working with Project Managers and clients to maintain milestones and budgets.
