Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Sr. Food Scientist for a premium dessert company in the Aurora, CO area. You will lead formulation development, scale-up, and coordinate with Culinary, QA, Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure on-time launches.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or Food Engineering; baking science background preferred
• 5–8 years of manufacturing experience
• Experience with new product development and scale-up in manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new formulations and proper use of functional ingredients
• Coordinate multi-project plans and resources to achieve goals
• Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and make technical recommendations
• Develop product and process specifications and transfer knowledge to QA and Operations
• Support Commercialization, Operations and QA to resolve issues and manage changes
• Provide technical support to Culinary team on product information and process capability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new products, equipment or processes
• Translate formula and process specs to on-floor processes to ensure smooth rollouts
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance NPD process, win rate, and speed to market
