Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Senior Food Scientist in Aurora, CO to develop robust formulations suitable for scale-up and commercialization. You will work with the culinary team and collaborate with Production, Sales, QA and Supply Chain to ensure new items launch successfully and existing items are documented accurately.

The role focuses on new product development, quality and cost improvements, with travel up to 40% and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science / Food Engineering with baking background.
• 5–8 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with new product development from concept to commercialization.
• Strong re-engineering knowledge.
• Recipe formulation and raw material knowledge.
• Solid bench skills in recipe testing and development.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership in developing new formulations for robust items.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary projects and manage resources to goals.
• Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and make recommendations.
• Develop product and process specs; train QA and Operations.
• Support commercialization andQA to resolve issues and changes.
• Offer technical support to Culinary team on product info and process capability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on new products, equipment, or processes.
• Translate formulas to on-floor processes and assist rollouts.
• Lead continuous improvement to accelerate wins, reduce costs, and speed market.
