Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood, Walton, KY, seeks an experienced Lead Food Safety & Quality to supervise day-to-day plant QA/QC operations and ensure compliance with regulatory, business and customer requirements.

The role covers processing stages from receiving to packaging, with collaboration across departments to resolve quality issues. Strong GMP knowledge, training ability, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 5+ years in food service, manufacturing or distribution quality.
• Bachelor’s in related field preferred; HACCP and PCQI credentials preferred.
• Experience with GMPs and quality management standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily QA/QC processes to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Monitor GMPs/GWP compliance and train staff on food handling policies.
• Conduct internal inspections and report corrective actions.
• Collect samples for micro testing and maintain records.
• Coordinate testing results for finished products, raw materials and packaging.
