Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be registered as a professional sanitarian by the State of Texas.
• Two years of combined experience conducting manufactured foods, retail foods, youth camps, or public sanitation inspection.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and investigations of food manufacturing, distribution, and retail facilities to ensure sanitary compliance.
• Prepare highly technical inspection reports including photos and exhibits.
• Assist in scheduling, data tracking, and preparing reports for work groups.
• Provide training, joint field inspections, and reviews of inspection reports.
• Occasionally travel up to 60% and be on call for emergencies.
