Job summary

Relate Search has partnered with a food manufacturing organization to identify and lead the development and implementation of new processing technologies while enhancing existing manufacturing processes.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and senior leadership to advance processing capabilities and drive project execution across shortenings, oils, margarines, dressings, and sauces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science; Chemical Engineering strongly preferred.
• 7+ years in process engineering, commercialization, product development, pilot plant operations, project management, or project engineering management.
• Experience in food manufacturing and R&D collaboration is valued.
• Knowledge of FDA/USDA standards and evaluating new technologies.
• Strong PM, interpersonal, analytical, supervisory, verbal and written communication; travel up to 20%.
• Hybrid work arrangement; locations around Ontario CA, Fort Worth TX, or Chambersburg PA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, development, optimization, and implementation of production processes for new and existing food product technologies across bench, pilot plant, and manufacturing levels.
• Partner with Quality, Plant Operations, Engineering, and R&D to expand capabilities and finalize formulas and processes.
• Identify and evaluate new processing technologies and growth opportunities for strategic impact.
• Drive project execution with tracking, budgeting, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
• Stay current on engineering/scientific developments and contribute to training and project management capabilities.
