Job summary

The Operations & Warehouse Manager at Home Chef oversees end-to-end product movement and production in the Baltimore plant, leading a multi‑shift team of 400+ associates across Ecommerce and Ready to Heat lines.

The role emphasizes coaching, process improvement, safety, SOP adherence, and cross‑functional collaboration with warehouse, maintenance, FSQA, HR, and procurement to meet quality and efficiency goals. Maryland pay range: $125,000–$145,000 USD.

Qualifications

• 2-year program completed; Associate’s or Bachelor's preferred.
• 3+ years of proven direct supervision and management experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and facilitate problem-solving across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Builds strong working relationships with Superintendents, Shift Managers, Supervisors, and employees and helps all levels grow and improve.
• Sets clear performance targets for Superintendents and reviews progress against plan daily.
• Ensures Shifts Superintendents effectively utilize standard tools and processes.
• Coaches staff, provides feedback, and resolves issues impacting fulfillment.
• Drives safety by enforcing GMPs and safety protocols and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
• Partners with CI team on SOP development and audits; owns plant SOPs and ensures up-to-date documentation.
• Maintains professional knowledge through training and benchmarking best practices.
