Job summary

Celanese is seeking a senior-level Food Contact Regulatory Affairs subject matter expert to join our Americas Product Stewardship team. You will provide independent technical and regulatory expertise for U.S.

FDA food contact and MERCOSUR requirements, guiding product development, manufacture, and commercialization of food contact materials. You will monitor regulatory changes, assess materials for compliance, and manage portfolios across Celanese’s businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Regulatory Affairs, Food Science, or related field.
• 8+ years in Product Stewardship/Regulatory Affairs or related role.
• Experience interpreting U.S. FDA and MERCOSUR food contact regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory assessments for U.S. FDA food contact and MERCOSUR regulations.
• Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and advise on risk-based options.
• Manage food contact regulatory portfolios across Celanese’s business lines.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, legal, and technology teams.
